Maintenance and testing of distribution boards
Regular maintenance of distribution boards reduces the risk of overheating, outages and fire. We offer a visual inspection, tightening of connections, functional tests of circuit breakers and RCDs, and documentation of the condition.
What board maintenance includes
- Visual inspection: degree of enclosure protection, condition and marking, clearances and creepage distances
- Check of protective circuits and spot tightening of screw connections
- Check of built-in components, conductors and terminals against the documentation
- Function of mechanical operating elements, interlocks and locks
- Functional tests of circuit breakers, residual current devices and surge protectors
- Thermal imaging in operation, cleaning and a maintenance record
Inspection and verification of the distribution board
The board is verified according to ČSN EN IEC 61439-1 (chapter 11 – routine verification: enclosure protection, clearances, protection against electric shock and continuity of protective circuits, built-in components, terminals, mechanical function, dielectric properties and function) and, in operation, during the electrical installation inspection according to ČSN 33 2000-6.
Thermal camera inspection
A thermal imaging check reveals overheating of connections and components before a fault or fire occurs.
Cleaning distribution boards
Dust and dirt can cause overheating or a short circuit. Professional cleaning extends the life of the equipment and increases operational safety.
Custom manufacturing
- Individual design for residential, commercial and industrial buildings
- High-quality components from reputable manufacturers
- Compliance with ČSN and EN standards, testing before handover
Frequently asked questions
How often is distribution board maintenance done?
The interval depends on the environment, the load and the manufacturer's instructions. For designated electrical equipment, the board is checked during a periodic inspection at the intervals given in Annex 4 of Government Decree No. 190/2022 Coll.; we recommend planning thermal imaging and maintenance in a regular cycle.
How does distribution board maintenance work?
Disconnection as far as operations allow, visual inspection, thermal imaging during operation if the condition permits, cleaning, tightening of connections and tests of protective devices. The result is a maintenance record.
