Persons who work on or near electrical equipment must be regularly trained under Act No. 250/2021 Coll. and Government Decree No. 194/2022 Coll.; competent persons take an exam of professional competence for activities in electrical engineering.
Who is the training for?
- Competent persons – an exam every 3 years (validity of the proof)
- Instructed persons – content and interval set by the operator (without an internal rule at least once a year)
How does the training work?
The training takes place directly at the customer's premises, ideally in groups of up to 8 people, with content adapted to specific needs.

How long is the exam valid under Decree 194/2022?
The proof of passing the competent person exam is valid for 3 years (Act No. 250/2021 Coll.). The content and interval of training for instructed persons are set by the operator in an internal rule; without one, they are trained at least once a year (Section 3 of Government Decree No. 194/2022 Coll.). The decree replaced the former Decree No. 50/1978 Coll.
